*Attach the cartridge filter cleaner to your standard garden hose. *Place your cartridge filter on a solid base.

*Turn on the water and insert the fingers of the cleaner into the filter, starting at the top. (If necessary, adjust the flow control on the cleaner.)

*Gently move up and down along the pleats of the cartridge filter. *Invert the filter and repeat until you have completed two full cleaning rotations.
