Why:
- Bromine sanitizer in slow dissolving, tablet form
- Bromine is highly effective in keeping hot tub water safe (3 – 5 ppm)
- Bromine is proven to kill germs and micro-organisms fast;
- Effective in wider pH range than chlorine
- Still effective when combined with nitrogen
- Gentler on bathers than chlorine
- Use only as primary sanitizer
- Bromine Tabs provide general daily need
- Use Bromine Granules to boost level
When:
- Use as needed to maintain 3 – 5 ppm on a continuous basis
- Slow dissolving tablets lend themselves well to a slow, controlled release of bromine
How Much:
- In general, a 1,000 L. hot tub will use:
- Approx. 10 grams per day
- 3 – 5 tablets per week
- A Mineraluxe tub of 1,000 L will use:
- Approx. 5 grams per day
- 1 – 3 tablets per week
- In general, a 1,000 L. hot tub will use:
- Each tablet weighs approx. 20 grams
- Usage will vary based on bather loads, water temperature, overall care and maintenance, use of other products, etc.
- Use a reliable test kit or test strips to monitor bromine levels regularly
**Test bromine level more frequently when initially starting on Mineraluxe to prevent overdosing.
How:
- Bromine Tablets should be placed in a floating dispenser or controlled feeder. Never use a dispenser that previously held a different chemical product.
- The best approach is to fill the dispenser or feeder with the number of tablets required to treat for a week or pre-determined period to avoid overuse.
- Use Mineraluxe Bromine Granules to establish the residual initially or to boost when the level drops to <3 ppm
- Use Mineraluxe Oxygen for weekly oxidation/clarification treatments
